The “Red Dot” concept was developed at the Humanitarian Logistics Association (HLA) Annual Conference 2010 in Paris. The main objective is to develop a network of volunteer members that will actively promote the mission and the objectives of the HLA and support the growing humanitarian logistics community of practice.
Local or regional Red Dot activities may be supported remotely by the HLA secretariat and can include formal or informal meetings, workshops, seminars or webinars to discuss the latest news and innovations in the humanitarian logistics sector. Red Dots promote the sharing of information and knowledge and provide peer-to-peer support.
